About us

Hi! I’m Erika — a 27-year-old conservation biologist, lead park ranger, and the creator behind Twig Creations. I’ve always had a deep love for wildlife, plants, and the quirky little moments that nature brings us. Twig Creations is where I get to blend that passion with creativity, turning it into fun, girly, nature-inspired designs that celebrate the outdoors — and all the feelings that come with being human.

By day, I work as a lead park ranger, protecting both people and wildlife across Alberta’s beautiful landscapes. My job keeps me grounded in the natural world — whether I’m monitoring water quality, educating park visitors, or simply soaking inthe quiet magic of the forest. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology and a diploma in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation, and I’ve spent years learning how to identify birds, mammals, plants, and everything in between. Basically, if it chirps, howls, or grows in a bog, I probably love it.

Twig Creations was born out of my desire to bring more softness, humor, and honesty into the environmental space. I wanted to make room for both science and silliness — for mushroom girlies, silly geese, native plant nerds, and anyone who needs a gentle reminder that it’s okay to feel sad sometimes. A big part of what inspired me to start this shop was my own journey with mental health, and how healing I’ve found nature to be. Whether it’s a quiet walk in the woods or watching birds flit through the trees, being outside has always helped me slow down and reconnect with myself.

My growing collection includes stickers, outdoorsy apparel, cute drinkware, and window decals designed to scatter little rainbows across your room.

When I’m not in the field or working on new designs, you can find me sipping an iced coffee, binge-listening to true crime podcasts, or daydreaming about bears and birds. I created Twig Creations not just as a shop, but as a cozy, creative space for fellow nature-lovers who also love soft aesthetics, big feelings, and being a little bit wild.

Thanks for being here — I hope you find something that makes you smile.
